As part of a long-standing partnership with the Australian Dental Association Victorian Branch (ADAVB), BOQ Specialist today revealed its second professional development grant - the ADAVB/BOQ Specialist CPD Practice Bursary.
The bursary aims to acknowledge dental practices committed to quality learning and to fund further professional development for practitioners and professional staff members.
Commenting on the bursary, ADAVB President, Dr Stephen Liew, said: “We are delighted that BOQ Specialist has confirmed its commitment to the dentistry community in Victoria with this professional development bursary. This initiative serves ADAVB’s core objective: to maintain dentistry practice standards for the benefit and protection of the public and dental staff. ”
In addition to a Certificate of Recognition, the $10,000 bursary includes $8,000 to be applied to CPD and training programs and registration to ADAVB CPD courses worth $2,000. The winning practice will also be profiled by the ADAVB and in BOQ Specialist’s own ‘Best Practice’ publication.
Commenting on the bursary, BOQ Specialist State Manager, Dianne Stewart said: “We are delighted to offer the ADAVB/BOQ Specialist CPD Bursary for the second consecutive year, marking the strength of our partnership with the ADAVB and the high quality pool of dentistry talent in Victoria.”
Victoria based Dr Levecke, winner of the 2015 bursary added: “The bursary has helped Blackburn Dental Group to go above and beyond the development needs of our staff members so we can continue to offer local families and communities a best-in-class dentistry experience.”
BOQ Specialist CEO, Dr Brett Robinson concluded: “BOQ Specialist’s years of experience providing distinctive banking solutions to dentists, has given us the knowledge to understand the importance of upskilling and the opportunities that training can bring to practices. We are proud to award another practice with this bursary program recognising the training and development that dentists undertake in order to deliver the highest quality care to their clients.”
The award is open to ADAVB member owned private practices, submissions will be accepted until close of business 20 May 2016. The application form is available via the ADAVB website.
