BOQ Specialist partners with ADAQ for two $5,500 CPD bursaries

As part of a long-standing partnership with the Australian Dental Association Queensland Branch (ADAQ),

BOQ Specialist today revealed its inaugural professional development grant - the ADAQ+BOQ Specialist CPD Bursary 2018.


Two bursaries valued at $5 500 each (inc GST) will be available to be used for ADAQ Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events.


These bursaries aim to recognise and support dental practices that are committed to quality learning through CPD for every practitioner and professional staff member in the practice.


One grant will be allocated to South-East Queensland (postcode 4000-4352, 4500-4567) and the other will allocated to Regional Queensland (postcode 4353-4498, 4568-4884).


Applications will be assessed and reviewed by the Bursary Panel comprised of; the ADAQ President, CPD Committee Convenor, ADAQ CEO and a representative from BOQ Specialist.


Commenting on the bursary, ADAQ President, Dr Gary Smith, said: “We are delighted that BOQ Specialist has confirmed its commitment to the dental community in Queensland with this professional development bursary. This initiative advances our commitment to encouraging high quality dentistry practice standards and protecting the oral health of the community.”


The ADAQ+BOQ Specialist CPD Bursaries will be awarded at the ADAQ Annual Clinic Day Lunch on Friday 24 November 2017. In addition to a Certificate of Recognition, the winning practices will also be featured by ADAQ and BOQ Specialist in relevant publications, social media and websites.


Commenting on the bursary, BOQ Specialist State Manager, Jeff Miller said: “We are pleased to offer the ADAQ+BOQ Specialist CPD Bursary, marking the strength of our partnership with ADAQ and the high quality pool of dentistry talent in Queensland.”


BOQ Specialist CEO, Dr Brett Robinson concluded: “BOQ Specialist’s years of experience providing distinctive banking solutions to dentists has given us the knowledge to understand the benefits and opportunities that upskilling and ongoing training brings to dental practices. We are proud to offer the bursary program to recognise the training and development that dentists undertake in order to deliver the highest quality care to their patients.”


The award is open to ADAQ member owned private practices, submissions will be accepted until close of business Friday, 20 October 2017. The application form is available via the ADAQ website.
