BOQ Specialist has formed an alliance with management information solutions company, Bstar to offer accountants access to the most up-to-date research and benchmarking information on dental practices.
In what’s believed to be an industry first, BOQ Specialist and Bstar have partnered to provide accountants with online dental practice research and benchmarking resources to enable them to offer better advice and add value for their dental clients.
“As a specialist bank that focuses on healthcare professionals we are keen to work more closely with those accountants who service these clients and believe that a collaborative approach of knowledge sharing sets us apart from our competitors. By supporting Bstar’s accurate benchmarking information, we ensure accountants have the data they need to increase their influence within the medical community and grow their medical client base” said Jeff Miller, Queensland State Manager, BOQ Specialist.
“Bstar’s 2016 Accountants Research Report showed that accountants wanted specialised tools that they could use to advise their clients. We saw this as an opportunity to collaborate with accountants by sharing some of our extensive knowledge and expertise in the health sector, starting with dentists,” explained Miller.
Dentists are facing increased competition, with three in four dentists concerned about practice efficiency. They are looking to improve their practice operations and profitability, by improving productivity and staff performance. However, only one in three practices have the information to understand how they are performing relative to others, and where they can improve.
“One of the key challenges for advisers to dentists is a lack of quality and sizable industry benchmarking information. Our alliance with BOQ Specialist means accountants can support dentists by accessing three unique categories of benchmarks to identify areas for improvement,” Bstar CEO Grant Bloxham said.
